Active Care Group’s Care in the Home division is expanding, offering an excellent opportunity for a Clinical Manager to join their team. This role is ideal for clinicians seeking better work-life balance, moving away from 12-hour shifts while making a meaningful impact in home-based complex care.
The Clinical Manager will work closely with RGNs and nurses, providing training, mentorship, and supervision to support children, young people, and adults with complex conditions such as:
- Brain injuries
- Spinal cord injuries
- Neurological & neurodegenerative conditions
- Respiratory conditions
- Gastro-intestinal conditions (PEG feeding, etc.)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct competency-based training for support workers and care managers.
- Delegate approved clinical skills for safe care practices at home.
- Ensure Personal Care Plans are continuously updated and compliant.
- Conduct annual observations of care staff to assess competency.
- Manage safeguarding issues calmly and accurately.
- Liaise with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and client care funders.
- Maintain communication with scheduling and care management teams regarding risks.
- Audit patient records and MAR charts monthly.
- Conduct home visits to teach competencies and address concerns.
- Monitor support workers’ welfare, ensuring their mental and physical well-being.
- Perform risk assessments for lone workers.
This role requires a strong leader who can think strategically and understand the complex care sector's bigger picture.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
Essential:
- Active NMC Pin registration.
- Full UK work authorization (Sponsorship not available).
- Full UK driving license and own vehicle.
- Clinical expertise in ventilation, bowel, and bladder management.
