Client Development Manager

 

Description:

As the Client Development Manager, you will play a key role in delivering plans and strategies to help grow and expand the business. You will be responsible for fostering strong and lasting relationships, acquiring new clients, plus finding opportunities to develop further services provided to existing clients. You will support the different teams in creating and implementing business development strategies and action plans, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the business.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Leading efforts in business development, with a focus on both strategic and operational aspects.
  • Improving existing processes, introducing new projects, and fostering organic change to cultivate new relationships.
  • Serving as the liaison between legal teams and coordinating actions related to business development.
  • Creating and taking ownership of target account plans, overseeing pipeline discussions, and managing action items.
  • Conducting research and implementing strategies for business development and marketing.
  • Collaborating with legal teams and department heads to pinpoint new sector/market opportunities aligned with the firm's growth strategy.
  • Being a brand ambassador for internal and external events, conveying key messages, and cultivating client relationships.
  • Directing the tender and pitch submission process, closely collaborating with legal teams, creative teams, BD/CX Executive, and external suppliers.
  • Supervising and coaching colleagues in pipeline management, ensuring consistency and accuracy in processes.
     

Skills & Experience
 

  • Proven track record in client relationship management and business development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client care
  • Experience managing large teams including coaching, training and mentoring
  • Ability to present information clearly, accurately and to a variety of audiences, both verbally and written
  • Excellent organisation and accuracy, motivated, proactive and committed to meeting deadlines while remaining calm under pressure
  • Collaborative team player, able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment
  • Customer-focused mindset, committed to delivering exceptional service
  • Results-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic industry
  • IT proficiency, including Word, Excel and Outlook
