Description:
Interstad, a sports-based fan engagement and content-sharing start-up, is seeking a UK-based CTO to join in a part-time capacity (equity-based) with the potential to transition into a full-time, paid role within six months. This role requires technical leadership, platform optimization, and strategic input to help scale the business.
Manage the live platform, addressing bugs and ensuring smooth performance.
Optimize existing workflows and develop new features aligned with the business roadmap.
Lead the technology strategy to enhance platform capabilities.
Work closely with the founder to shape the long-term technical and business direction.
Ensure seamless user experience for sports teams and fans.
Participate in fundraising and revenue-generation discussions to transition the role into a paid position.
✅ Full-stack web/app development experience (Next.js, React, tRPC, ShadCN/UI).
✅ Strong understanding of B2B2C SaaS platforms.
✅ Passion for sports and fan engagement.
✅ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
✅ Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to "figure things out" independently.
✅ Comfortable working in a high-trust, early-stage start-up environment.
Previous experience scaling a business or tech team.
Experience in content-sharing platforms or within a sporting organization.
Product-driven mindset, focusing on end-user needs.
Must have experience with most of the following:
Github, Vercel, Turso, Upstash, Cloudflare, Mux, Resend, Stripe, Pusher.com.
Equity-based (percentage TBD).
Part-time role, can be balanced with a full-time job.
No salary initially, but expected to transition into a paid role within six months.
Remote working, with occasional in-person meetings for alignment.
