Chief Risk Officer

Description:

We are looking for a Chief Risk Officer to join our Executive Team, reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Chair of the Board Risk Committee. You will play an active part in the Executive team embedding Border to Coast’s collaborative and learning culture across the Company whilst ensuring that there is a robust risk management framework in place to ensure strong risk-based decision-making and to enable Executive and Board oversight.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a balance of skills and track record, including:

• First-rate people leadership skills, with the ability to engage, collaborate, coach and inspire.
• Second line of defence (Risk and Compliance) leadership expertise with the ability to shape and deliver a robust risk management agenda across enterprise, operational, financial and investment risks in the context of a growing and still relatively new organisation.
• Experience across the applicable risk universe including thorough knowledge of direct asset owner and/or investment management environments.
• Experience and/or capability of influencing and partnering Board level stakeholders.
