Description:
As our new Category Manager for Software & SaaS, your top responsibility will be to proactively drive sourcing activities (RFx) within you assigned categories on a global basis according to our respective Category Strategy. Your careful and well thought through execution will increase business value and ensure that the external products and services are delivered to the right quality, in time, and to a competitive cost.
Key responsibilities include:
Executing strategic initiatives and developing value creating sourcing strategies
- Carrying out Software & SaaS related RFx process to deliver our strategic plan (as prepared by the Global Category Manager)
- Proficiently moderating our procurement and RFX processes to deliver the highest potential value-add
- Having an good understanding of global IT markets and relevant emerging technologies
- Applying our eSourcing and eAuction systems for efficient sourcing execution
- Preparing and executing of your sub-category tender plan to ensure spend is under contract
Minimising supply chain risk and maximises performance
- Building a network of relevant suppliers and potential suppliers, and utilizing these whilst tendering
- Ensuring that supply risk is reduced, planning and executing mitigation actions together with the Global Category Manager and other stakeholders
- Interfacing with our IT/OT Supplier Management team will ensure strong supplier performance against our contracts
Acting responsibility and in a sustainable manner
- Fostering innovation in our sourcing activities and contracts
- Ensuring our businesses are familiar with framework contracts, and having dialogues to reduce maverick spend
- Maintaining high ethical standards and high levels of integrity
Your Profile
- International experience in all tender related procurement practices
- Relevant IT/OT supply market knowledge, with an interest to keep abreast on current trends and threats
- Knowledge of some P2P and e-Sourcing platforms, with a basic knowledge of relevant financial principles
- Influential, and good at negotiating
- High flexibility and willingness, attentive to detail and welcoming to new approaches or ideas
- Good organisation skills allow you to deliver to schedule/targets, guide stakeholders through tender processes, but also work cooperatively with others to find win-win solutions
- Willingness to travel to our operational/office sites and key suppliers
- Excellent proficiency in English; German language skills beneficial, but not essential
