Description:
Join Home Group, one of the UK’s largest housing providers, as a Casual Housing Concierge. This flexible role allows you to earn extra cash while supporting vulnerable individuals in a meaningful way. You’ll work as part of a passionate and supportive team, ensuring the safety and well-being of customers in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the first line of support for customers during hours when other teams are unavailable.
- Manage the health and safety of the building through patrolling, monitoring fire doors, and securing the premises.
- Handle suspicious activity effectively and liaise with emergency services when required.
- Perform light cleaning duties, ensuring the environment is clean and presentable.
- Use technology to update support plans, complete training, and maintain communication with colleagues.
Shift Details:
- Night shifts: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
- Shift patterns:
- Sunday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday
- Casual workers can pick up extra shifts as needed.
Requirements:
- Calm under pressure with strong communication skills.
- Sociable and empathetic, with a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Confident in managing situations and intervening when necessary.
- Ability to work independently while being a team player.
- Familiarity with using technology for documentation and communication.
- Enhanced DBS check required (cost covered by Home Group).
