Business Development Representative

 

Description:

Awning Depot is a small but fast-growing business based in Broadstairs & Manston, Kent. We manufacture awnings and canopies for domestic houses and commercial customers (shops, bars, restaurants etc). We deal with both wholesale traders on a supply-only basis and directly with our own clients where we supply and install the awning or canopy for the client. We are recruiting for an office-based role at our showroom at Manston Business Park to support with growing our trade sales business.

 

Key Tasks

  • New business sales – contacting new potential trade partners to introduce our products and service
  • Become a main point of contact for new partners - supporting them with onboarding and continuing growth
  • Using a sequencing software tool to organise outreach
  • CRM maintenance – keeping notes / actions up to date
  • Quoting incoming enquiries
  • Collaborating with Operations team on client projects

 

Essential skills or experience for role:

  • 1yr + previous sales experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Experience with multi-modal business development outreach – via cold calls, cold email and LinkedIn
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Proficient in using CRM software, such as Hubspot, to track leads and manage customer interactions
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good standard of spoken and written English
  • Bonus - experience or interest in interiors / exterior design
