Description:
Severn Trent Services is seeking a Business Development Manager for Strategic Bids and Frameworks to join their growing team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in identifying, developing, and securing new business to drive company growth. This involves identifying framework opportunities, engaging with potential clients, and supporting the bid development process to produce winning proposals. You will also be responsible for market research, relationship building, and representing the company at industry events.
Proactively engage in business development activities to identify framework opportunities aligned with STS growth strategy.
Conduct market research and attend industry events to promote the company’s capabilities.
Lead the end-to-end bid development process, from identifying opportunities to proposal submission.
Develop strategies for bidding, ensure compliance with client requirements, and manage risks related to proposals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure commercial evaluations, operational input, and ensure governance compliance.
Maintain bid documentation and provide post-submission support.
Significant experience in frameworks, particularly large tenders for complex projects.
Proven track record in bid management and proposal writing.
Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
Awareness of external market trends and their impact on the business.
A background in utilities, water, and wastewater industry, or government tenders is beneficial.
Full UK driving license is required.
Salary range of £55,000 - £65,000.
25 days holiday + bank holidays (with the ability to buy/sell up to 5 days per year).
