ELIQUO HYDROK, a rapidly growing £25 million company, is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand and strengthen its biosolids business, with a special focus on ELOVAC® Technology. As an established provider of wastewater treatment solutions to the UK water industry, we are looking for a proactive, strategic thinker who can drive sales, manage product portfolios, and work closely with key stakeholders in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand Product Portfolio: Develop and execute business strategies to expand ELIQUO HYDROK’s biosolids product offerings and market presence in the UK.
- Drive Sales & Business Growth: Lead and execute technical sales within the UK municipal wastewater market.
- Market Research & Strategy: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify business opportunities.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships with key industry stakeholders, municipal water companies, and environmental agencies.
- Product Expertise: Act as a product expert, understanding customer needs and aligning wastewater and biosolid treatment solutions to meet market demands.
- Represent ELIQUO HYDROK: Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to showcase expertise in biosolid solutions.
- Project Management & Collaboration: Work closely with internal engineering and project teams to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Proposal & Tender Management: Lead the preparation and submission of proposals and tenders, ensuring competitive pricing while maximizing company benefits.
- Sales Reporting:
- Submit a weekly sales contact plan to the Head of Sales.
- Provide monthly performance metrics to assess progress and impact.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven business development, sales, or product management experience within the water or environmental sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of wastewater treatment and biosolids processes.
- Experience handling capital equipment sales or engineered solutions.
- Established network of contacts within the UK water/wastewater industry.
- Ability to travel frequently across the UK and Ireland, with visits to Head Office (Cornwall) every three months.
Qualifications & Experience:
✅ Minimum 3 years of experience in wastewater treatment or biosolids technologies.
✅ Prior experience in sales, marketing, or business development.
✅ Strong communication, negotiation, and IT skills.
✅ Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task efficiently.
✅ Highly organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.
Desirable:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
