Business Development Manager

 

Description:


The Business Development Manager is a remote role (up to 50% travel required, and Eastern time zone hours would be best), responsible for positioning OTT HydroMet for success in solar, hydrology,and meteorology opportunities. You’ll work with channel partners, system integrators, and key customers to drive revenue and build a sustainable sales funnel in the growing natural environmental business (solar energy projects, groundwater, surface water, floods/heavy rain, water quality, road weather, among others).

In this role, a typical day will look like:
 

  • Achieve sales goals aligned with company objectives through sales forecasting and account management.
  • Develop relationships with key accounts, channel partners, and new customers to identify business opportunities and expand market share.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction and drive project completion.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to adjust strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage account performance using KPIs and implement strategies to achieve growth targets.

     

Are you qualified?
 

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Engineering.
  • 5+ years of progressive sales experience.
  • 3+ years working with Channel Partners and Key Accounts in the Solar, Hydrology, or Meteorology sectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills & comfort relating to all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Bonus: Formal sales training & experience with value selling and selling full solutions (hardware, software, services).
