Leading provider of corporate events & incentive programs in the UK Ireland and Nordics is seeking a business development manager to capitalise on leads and enquiries from European clients, to join it's team in Edinburgh (hybrid/flexible working after training/probation). Using your Fluency in French and English, you will be representing a Destination Management company specialising in MICE. You will driven, personable and dedicated Sales Manager who will build relationships with clients, to secure their business, gain repeat business as well as generate new business. Suiting someone who prefers focusing on the sales and relationship management than the operations and admin (though you will of course work closely with these teams to ensure delivery and success), this is a target rive role, with a basic up to £35k pa, commission, FAM Trips benefits and good long term career prospects.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Customer Communication & Presentations: Serve as the first point of contact for potential customers, delivering high-quality presentations and briefings.

• Operations Collaboration: Collaborate with the Operations team by providing accurate briefings on client requirements and project details.

• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with key clients and new accounts.

• Lead Management: Conduct outbound calls to prospective and existing business customers, manage leads, and maintain a comprehensive CRM database.

• Sales Execution: Manage and follow up on sales enquiries from existing customers, overseeing all aspects of a sale from order to service delivery.

• Marketing Support: Follow up on marketing campaigns and utilize social media platforms for networking and lead generation.

• Event Attendance: Attend and organize Fam trips, industry events, and trade shows to promote the company's offerings, build brand recognition, and generate leads.

• Strategic Opportunities Identification: Identify new strategic areas and revenue opportunities.

• Market & Competitor Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with trends in the Event and Travel industry and monitor competitor developments.

• Client Engagement: Maintain regular, documented contact with the existing customer base, building relationships, and securing new accounts.

• Business Development Best Practices: Develop and implement best practices in business development and client servicing.

• Revenue Generation: Secure a pipeline of ongoing profitable revenue.

• Networking: Network at industry events and trade shows to generate leads and build relationships.

• Quotations: Produce competitive quotations for prospective and existing customers.
