Description:
Our client is now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and nurturing client relationships, and driving growth for the company. The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base, generating revenue, and contributing to the overall success of the organisation. You will be given some accounts to manage, but your core focus will be new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and prospect potential clients in target industries/markets to generate new business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand their needs and promote the contract manufacturing services.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients.
- Lead the negotiation and closing of contracts, ensuring favourable terms and conditions for the company.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Effectively manage the sales pipeline and forecast revenue projections.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and client feedback.
Qualifications:
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management, preferably from a food/supplements/vitamins/cosmetics contract manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of ingredients, manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and relevant industry regulations.
- Experience selling White Label/Private Label solutions is very beneficial, ideally in the industries mentioned above
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present ideas and influence decision-makers.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and execute plans to achieve business objectives.
- Highly motivated self-starter with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment.
