Business Development Manager

 

Description:

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our client's sea logistics business. You will be customer-facing, engaging with small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to identify and develop new business opportunities. Building strong relationships with clients will be crucial as you promote the company's sea logistics services and demonstrate your in-depth knowledge of trade-lanes, service offerings, and industry-specific regulations.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and nurture new business opportunities within the SME segment.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential customers and industry trends.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations on sea logistics products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Care team to ensure seamless onboarding of new customers.
  • Monitor and analyze market competition, staying up-to-date with pricing and product information.
  • Generate accurate quotations and proposals for clients.
  • Report customer feedback and complaints to the Customer Care team.
  • Maintain and update customer information using CRM tools.

 

Your Skills and Experiences:

  • Proven track record in business-to-business sales, with experience in face-to-face interactions.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to build customer relationships.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and MS Office tools.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the logistics industry, particularly sea logistics.
  • Experience in managing customer portfolios and developing sales leads.
  • Ability to thrive in a targeted new business environment.
