Business Development Manager

 

Description:

The SMDH supports manufacturing businesses to improve the data they collect, support analysis and provide insight to improve decision-making. It also has a low carbon focus to develop business owners understanding of energy usage and provides a community platform to support employers on their data journey.

This contract is funded through Innovate UK until 31 March 2025.

2. THE KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Account manage a portfolio of employers to access the support available through the hub.
  • Work collaboratively with consortium partners to achieve consistent delivery and hub outcomes.
  • Develop an awareness of the SMDH outside of the geography, working with the LEP network and supporting dissemination and marketing activity.
  • Facilitate workshops to engage employers with the hub and following up on this interest.
  • Manage referrals to other business support offers to meet the needs of the business.
  • Support business grant applications for the Digital Innovation fund to support businesses with productivity improvements.

3. APPLICANTS WILL POSSESS

  • Experience working in or with the Manufacturing industry.
  • An understanding of data and how it can be used in a business context.
  • Excellent account management skills.
  • Able to work within a disparate team developing working relationships across partner organisations.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills to develop awareness of the project across the UK.
