Business Development Manager

 

Description:

In this role you will be responsible for the generation of new business, be the first point of contact for new referrals, actively leading on these. Completing quotes, submissions, and tender documentation to facilitate new business.

Preferably, you will have a proven background in commercial, business development or sales within the complex healthcare sector however, we are open to applications from those who have strong interpersonal skills and can evidence business growth.

Striking up conversations with new individuals will be second nature to you as you will play a key part in building and developing relationships, this could be with our existing and also new, Integrated Care Boards (ICB’s), Case Managers and Commissioners across our “Central South Operation” this encompasses, the West Midlands, East & South East Regions.

From building relationships at the initial stage, you'll take this right through to implementation of the care packages, playing an integral part.

You’ll demonstrate the experience and ability to liaise with the necessary internal and external teams, connecting skills, expertise, and knowledge to ensure we continue to offer high-quality care services, ensuring all is achieved and executed within the agreed time frame.

The geographical area you will be responsible for will require some travel, ideally you will be located within a commutable distance of our Wolverhampton or Peterborough offices.

Whilst there is the option to work from home 1-2 days per week, you will be required to work from our local offices.

Summary of the role:

  • Carry out structured business development to generate new package referrals.
  • Attend meetings with ICB’s, families and members of the multidisciplinary teams.
  • Complete quotes, submissions, and tender documentation to facilitate new business.
  • Work closely with operational offices to ensure packages of care are implemented safely.
  • Review and set rates for new business in conjunction with offices and finance.
  • Contribute to marketing campaigns to generate new business.
  • Ensure business pipeline is reported on and kept up to date.
  • Work closely with clinical, quality, and operational teams.

Essential Requirements:

  • A proven sales, commercial or business development background
  • Be able to evidence the forging of strong business relationships.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle

Preferred Requirements :

  • Experience within healthcare, ideally complex care
  • Knowledge of working with Commissioners, ICB’s and Local Authorities
