Description:
Your role will be to provide robust business support and commercial advice to support our network of independent retailers. You will be responsible for delivering sales and margin KPIs across a defined geographical area, achieved through effective relationship building and interpersonal skills to form stronger partnerships and influence business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and profitability at both Wholesale and Retail levels to ensure maximum performance versus target.
- Maximise retailer support under the SPAR brand, working with retailers to maximise their store standards, product availability, promotions and services.
- Liaise with and support retailers on all aspects of business development including capital investment proposals, planning applications, store layouts and customer service. As necessary, prepare CAPEX applications for AWG commitment in retailers development ensuring the project provides a return on capital investments within AWG parameters.
- Support the management of finance services provided by the company (stocking loans, development loans, etc) within agreed repayment schedules.
- Delivery of business initiatives in accordance with set timescales ensuring full ownership, commitment, and right first-time implementation for the benefit of our retailers and AWG.
- Provide insight from retailers back into the business which can be utilised to improve the offer and services to network.
- To be a personal ambassador for the SPAR brand, always ensuring positive communications and compliance.
Applicants should have:
- Strong commercial understanding of the convenience retail industry including competitor market activity and market trends
- Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen, with the ability to identify and drive forward with opportunities for growth and development
- Ability to build exceptional relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
- A confident, driven and enthusiastic self-starter
