Home-Start has a new post available for a Business Development Manager to be based in Kirklees. Working as part of the Senior Management Team, this role will lead on communications, marketing, branding and digital presence to increase the charities profile across a range of audiences. This permanent position is for 37 hours per week, offering up to £38,000 per annum and is supported by an excellent benefits package including flexible working and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays that increases over time.

Home-Start Kirklees supports families with everyday life challenges, providing practical and emotional support in their homes and within outreach group settings throughout the area administered by Kirklees Council in West Yorkshire.

Key Accountabilities of the Business Development Manager:

  • Contribute to the securing of inward investment including tenders, funding bids by sourcing opportunities and contributing to the writing of applications as part of the Senior Management Team.
  • Lead on the fundraising strategy and all fundraising efforts including events, campaigns, events and increase the number of donors and supporters.
  • Lead, implement and review a creative marketing plan to raise the profile and value of the organisation and to secure inward investment using modern methods of engagement.
  • Deputise for the Director.
  • Lead on the performance management function and ensure effective management of the internal systems with the wider team and outsourced services.
