A leading international law firm with a dynamic and enterprising approach require a highly credible and team focused Business Development Manager to provide support to insurance business lines within the Insurance, Finance and Professional Disputes Group. The scope of this business development role is very appealing as it encompasses all aspects of business development and marketing and involves a high degree of involvement with partners and associates. Reporting to and working in collaboration with the Senior Business Development Manager for Insurance, Finance and Professional Disputes, the successful applicant will be fundamental to managing and delivering the business development and marketing plans for their insurance business lines. In order to advance the groups business development strategy, you will need to balance autonomy and coordination with the Senior Business Development Manager to identify opportunities and set, manage and deliver the group's plan. The role holder will be a key member of the UK Business Development Team, managing and contributing to the development and pursuit of clients with a digital first ethos. Proactive communication and alignment with the partners will be vital to ensure everyone is on board and moving in the right direction. The Business Development Manager will lead pitches of strategic importance, ensuring go/no go evaluation and pitch reviews are completed and facilitating access to pitch best practice tools and content and will be heavily involved in activities ensuring the retention of existing clients and expansion of relationships to other offices and practices. You will also be responsible for coordinating high value marketing and communications activity, making use of all marketing channels, and will support the legal directories process including research and content management tasks. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a relevant role and comparable environment, preferably legal, to include demonstrable success in managing demanding stakeholders. Robust, flexible and proactive, the Business Development Manager will work comfortably at manager level and will possess outstanding organisation skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities within tight timescales and meet deadlines under pressure.
