SportsPro Ltd, a leading global brand in the sportswear and apparel industry, is seeking a proactive and experienced Business Development Executive to drive new business growth. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a dynamic brand that provides sportswear, training apparel, teamwear, and retro kits to sports clubs, athletes, teams, and their supporters.
Based at our St Albans office, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, generating qualified leads, building strong client relationships, and contributing directly to the brand’s continued success and expansion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets.
- Conduct detailed market research to identify and understand key prospects, ensuring effective outreach strategies are developed.
- Drive lead generation through various channels, including calls, emails, online chats, and networking events.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and deliver compelling presentations to potential clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to establish long-term business partnerships.
- Manage the full sales pipeline, from prospecting to closing deals.
- Attend relevant sales meetings, industry events, and training sessions to stay informed on market trends and opportunities.
- Provide weekly sales reports and pipeline updates to senior management, ensuring visibility and alignment on progress and targets.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in business development, sales, or similar roles, ideally within sportswear, apparel, or retail.
- Strong understanding of financial KPIs, including gross margins and costings.
- Creative and strategic mindset with a “think outside the box” approach to identifying new customers and opportunities.
- Confident in making commercial decisions based on KPIs, targets, and company strategy.
- Proven track record in outbound prospecting, lead generation, and sales conversion.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CRM tools to manage and track leads effectively.
- Highly motivated, target-driven, and capable of working independently to consistently achieve and exceed targets.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and a strategic mindset.
