Responsibility And Accountability
- Implement the agreed Business Development strategy to secure new landlords and opportunities to add properties to the book of business and retain key clients.
oIdentifying new leads, make contact, and follow through.
oBuilding profitable partnerships with new and existing clients and suppliers
- Achieve the targets set out in the accompanying Target Sheet which will change annually in accordance with business priorities
The Above Will Be Achieved By
- Arranging and attending client meetings as well as drop in visits to potential new Landlords and Property Companies.
- Organising, coordinating, and where required, attend workshops, events, presentations and networking events.
- Attending various industry events to promote the client to new potential customers.
- Providing the best advice and guidance to customers and prospects in an honest and transparent way
- Conduct research and competitor analysis on a regular basis to ensure you are aware of the competitor's share of the market, and their strengths and weaknesses
- Collaborating with the Property Management Division on product, insight, and marketing initiative
Personal Responsibilities

- Ensure that all Company security procedures, as detailed in the Personal Information Security Policy, are followed and any areas of concern are notified to your Department Manager
Skills & Knowledge Required
- Extensive experience in a business development or sales environment with a proven track record in acquiring profitable new business whilst retaining existing customers
- Experience in the Private Rented Sector and the Property Industry.
- Proven relationship management and sales experience with strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent presentation skills, both in preparation and delivery, with a good knowledge of PowerPoint
- Confidence to deal with large clients, attend client meetings and represent at industry events in a calm and knowledgeable way
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to manage change effectively ensuring that other stakeholders are kept informed of progress
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent customer service skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely in an open and transparent way
- Able to work unsupervised and demonstrate a flexible and adaptable attitude to work
- Enthusiasm and initiative with the ability to learn new skills quickly
- Drive and determination with the ability to find and implement innovative solutions to problems
- Able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and keep promises within a fast-moving environment
- Must be able to travel across England and Wales as required, including overnight
