Description:
We are currently seeking to hire a Business Development Director to lead our Business Development team in Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer to refresh Axe Finances’ go-to-market strategy for the Europe region.
- Focus on generating new business revenues, play a leading role in new business pitches and be responsible for the effective onboarding of new clients.
- Develop a robust pipeline in assigned accounts across Europe region.
- Manage the entire presales & sales process of complex and enterprise length sales cycles.
- Accountable for the business strategy, planning, marketing, positioning and selling of the software suite (investigation, qualification, exploring across assigned accounts).
- Lead the preparation of RFP responses, client presentations and proposals etc.
- Accountable for the business plan and “Go to Market” strategy including planning for marketing events and related budgets.
- Prepare reports and updates on sales pipeline and forecasts.
- Collaborate with the Head of Customer Success to proactively identify additional opportunities within the customer base and lead the sales process for up-sell and cross-sell of additional software modules to said customer base.
- Ensure accurate and timely pipeline reporting and that activity is regularly updated with latest client developments in CRM.
CANDIDATE PROFILE & REQUIREMENTS
- Degree business administration, marketing, engineering, or equivalent from a leading university.
- 10+ years of experience in sales with a software developer, preferably within the fintech sector.
- Experience with enterprise length complex sales cycles.
- Extensive network across the banking and non-bank FI is highly preferred.
- International market sales experience, specifically in Europe, is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of new business development, client relationship & account management.
- History and demonstratable success in winning 7-8 figure enterprise level software deals with
- Banks and non-Bank FIs throughout the Europe region.
- Proficient in drafting business plans and sales forecasts.
- Client-focused mindset.

- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking & time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining deadlines.

- Leadership experience in a high-performance sales environment
- Excellent levels of English (both written & oral).
