Description:
The primary function of this role is - rather unsurprisingly - to help grow our sales, and the commercial side of our business. We are a fast growing startup which means your day to day will be constantly changing. You must be comfortable operating with uncertainty and upskilling to meet new challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing market research and lead generation projects.
- Maintaining our CRM, helping to identify and grow customer relationships, keeping accurate top level notes (in conjunction with AI augmented support).
- Coordinating marketing efforts across social media, email, website(s) and press relations.
- Creating easily digestible sales/marketing content and preparing our team for meetings with prospective and current partners.
NEED TO HAVE
- Be able to ‘put yourself in a customers’ shoes’, to understand our clients’ pains and to act as the voice of the customer internally within the company.
- Ability to perform market research/competitor analysis by collating, analysing and distilling information into actionable insights.
- Demonstrable understanding or capability to rapidly understand scientific and engineering terminology/concepts.
- Be able to identify new business opportunities for us to pursue (lead generation) and to review and triage inbound sales requests (lead qualification).
- Willingness to travel (domestically and internationally) to visit clients and attend industry conferences & events as needed.
- Excellent time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of how to actually solve - not just describe - problems to generate immediate actionable results.
- Familiarity with modern workplace communication tools (e.g. Google Drive, Slack, Clickup, Notion, Canva, CRMs - customer relationship management systems, etc.).
