Description:
As such, we require experienced business developers to support the Business Development Managers in the development and assessment of both commercial, project and collaboration opportunities.
Working alongside Business Development Managers, this role explores and develops new business growth opportunities within Catalyst Technologies, each individually with potential to deliver at significant annual revenue within 5-10 year time frame.
Your responsibilities:
- Contribute to the identification, assessment (technical and commercial) and development of new business opportunities in all geographic locations from idea generation through to first commercialisation to deliver sustained and significant medium to long-term growth.
- Develop content to build accurate business cases and presentations to senior management.
- Identify and develop suitable external business relationships to help accelerate the global deployment of the business opportunity. Support the negotiation of collaboration, development, licence or other sales agreements
- Manage internal relationships throughout JM to deliver the commercial opportunity working closely with R&D, legal, operations, engineering and other commercial resources.
- Scout for future opportunities for internal development, partnerships or acquisitions, working with the CT Business Units and JM Group Corporate development and IDEO teams to leverage and build Open Innovation networks
- Work collaboratively within the Business Development team to develop / support the medium and long term growth strategy of Catalyst Technologies
Requirements for the role:
- Engineering or scientific background and experience
- A good understanding of Process Technology Licensing and/or Syngas Production Technology
- An understanding of or experience in, complex, multi-stage, multi stakeholder business development or sales processes
- Proven ability to plan, balance competing priorities of multiple project as well as meet objectives and targets
- Excellent communication skills and ability work independently
- Ability to influence teams and work in a matrix organization
- Strong commercial aptitude, and a bias towards action
- Experience in the chemical or energy industries
