Howdens Joinery, the UK’s leading trade kitchen supplier, is looking for a proactive Business Developer to join its team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a sales-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

As a Business Developer, you will be instrumental in building and maintaining relationships with new and existing trade customers. Your engaging personality and strong communication skills will enable you to identify upselling opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service through telephone and email interactions.

Beyond sales, you will play a crucial administrative role within the depot, working closely with Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives to assist in lead generation and appointment scheduling. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will contribute to the smooth operation of the depot, helping the team achieve and exceed sales targets.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Engage with trade customers daily via phone and email to build strong relationships.
  • Identify and pursue upselling opportunities to maximize sales potential.
  • Proactively generate new business leads and convert them into sales.

Customer Service & Relationship Management:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction.
  • Address trade customers’ queries and concerns efficiently.
  • Ensure trade professionals receive tailored solutions for their needs.

Administrative & Depot Support:

  • Assist the Kitchen Sales Designers and Territory Sales Representatives in arranging appointments and managing leads.
  • Support depot operations by maintaining accurate records and ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Contribute to the team's sales and operational efficiency.
