Description:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team delivering a diverse range of change initiatives supporting key organisational priorities including operational excellence, Operational Resilience and other regulatory change. You will be given the breadth and autonomy to take responsibility for supporting assigned initiatives and owning all business analysis and testing activities.
Initiatives and priorities are constantly evolving and therefore the successful applicant will have a strong intellect and aptitude to be able to understand and challenge at a detailed level, engage in conversation with senior stakeholders, flex and adapt their communication style to meet different stakeholder needs.
The role:
- Understand the business problem and primary objectives of new projects, challenging and validating the key business objectives and scope.
- Identify key stakeholders and working with them, use a variety of techniques and methodologies to elicit and validate requirements.
- Create functional requirements within use cases, coordinate requirements walk-through and signoffs, verifying with user representatives/stakeholders that use cases and process models accurately portray specific business needs.
- Document functional and non-functional requirements in a manner that supports the efficient translation of these into solution / technical requirements by the Technology team.
- Where required, support the analysis and creation of data flows to ensure integrity of data within the final solution.
- Document and analyse as-is processes, identifying and communicating recommendations for improvement.
- Through feedback and alignment with business requirements and target operating models, design, validate and document efficient to-be business processes, understanding potential control points.
- Plan, design and deliver the handover of business processes / systems to the functional owner in a manner that allows for continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the evaluation of potential software solutions, including off-the-shelf and open-source components to ensure they meet business requirements.
- Assess the impact of any changes that will be made to people, process and systems.
- Identify potential training needs and support the design and creation of any training material required.
- Support the design of the change management journey and help to identify key metrics & measures that can support adoption through the transition phase.
- Design and manage User Acceptance Testing, providing input into resolution of any fixes.
- Plan and manage small projects or workstreams within a larger project, or standalone discrete initiatives and contribute to the identification of risks and issues.
- Assist the Programme Manager and wider Change & Operations Delivery team as required including taking responsibility for discrete activities identified through the Change & Operations Delivery meetings.
Qualifications
Your Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Knowledge of formal business analysis techniques with a proven ability to use them to support successful project delivery.
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office software including Visio, Excel, Word
- Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile and/or Lean software development lifecycles desirable
- Excellent knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd’s and Industry) products and services, and in particular detailed understanding of legal / regulatory / risk principles and practices relating to the insurance industr
- Experience of identifying opportunities for process and/or system improvements either within existing designs or by adopting new functionalities in the process/software
- Confidently builds and sustains a key relationship network.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the Company, including senior/Executive levels where required.
- Experience of working in matrix teams across multiple locations, including with third party suppliers
- Proactive time management and deadline driven, setting priorities in order to achieve time-bound outcomes.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Travel to client sites in the UK may be required from time to time.
