Description:

The Rhodes University UK Trust was established in 1997 to support educational initiatives in South Africa.

With the recent retirement of the Trust’s long-standing Chairman and the culmination of the term of several Trustees, the Rhodes University UK Trust is now looking for 3 to 4 motivated Trustees to take the Trust forward into its next stage, under the leadership of the new Chair.

We are particularly interested in applications from people with the following skill sets and experience.

1.    Finance & Governance (to fulfil the role of Treasurer)

2.    Fundraising and Charity Partnerships

3.    PR & Communications

4.    Education (research and community engagement, ideally with experience of Southern Africa)

It is not necessary for you to be a Rhodes University Alumnus, but an interest in education in South Africa, an understanding of the challenges facing the region and a passion for elevating opportunity for young people, is essential.
