Bim Technician

 

Description:

Mott MacDonald Bentley, a leading design and build business, is seeking a skilled BIM Technician to join their Yorkshire Water framework. As part of the team, you will contribute to major water and wastewater projects, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems.

You will play a pivotal role in delivering BIM and Digital outputs throughout the lifecycle of various projects—from feasibility to construction. Your contributions will ensure that BIM aspects are meticulously considered and integrated into all stages of the project.

Responsibilities:

  • Delivering CAD/BIM design data and undertaking quality control processes.

  • Using 3D modelling to support design collaboration, clash resolution, asset data capture, digital rehearsal, and cost capture.

  • Supporting the development of a common data environment platform (Autodesk BIM 360).

  • Creating and developing a standardized BIM element library to support model reuse and production approaches, including affordable and low carbon solutions.

  • Taking responsibility for cyber security aspects related to CAD/BIM data and access.

  • Managing safety, wellbeing, environment, and sustainability in your BIM/CAD output.

  • Supporting project teams' understanding of BIM and supervising less experienced BIM technicians.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Recognized qualification in CAD, BIM, or related field.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk authoring packages (Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD).

  • Experience with 3D models in a common data environment platform (Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM360).

  • Understanding of information management principles (ISO 19650).

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
