At Laing O'Rourke we have an opportunity for a Digital Engineer to join our project team in Brighton, working on the new Sussex Cancer Centre project.
What will the role look like?
- Supports the implementation of Digital Engineering on projects by applying appropriate influence, input, process and protocols at bid, pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover, operation, and maintenance.
- Supports the development of LOR and Client staff, to deliver Digital Engineering in line with their discipline specific responsibilities, through upskilling, training, workshops, and regular communications utilising key project relationships.
- Contributes to the development of project specific solutions to deliver in accordance with our Digital Engineering offering.
- Contributes towards the authoring and development of the 3D model, supporting design teams to harness the value of a fully coordinated digital design.
- Supports the delivery of the project objectives to agreed deadlines.
- Leveraging 3D models and data to benefit construction activities.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Experienced user of Autodesk products including Revit / Navisworks
- Knowledge and experience of applying ISO 19650 and BS 1192
- Good knowledge of the construction sector
- Excellent people skills and a ‘go get it' attitude.
- Recognised BIM Qualification desirable.
- Experience of working on a BIM Level 2 project desirable
- Digital handover and asset management experience desirable
- An interest in technology desirable
