Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified Banking & Finance Lawyer (5-8 PQE) to join our growing team. This is a non-contentious General Banking role, covering various areas such as acquisition finance, corporate lending, asset finance, receivables finance, project finance, derivatives, and debt capital markets. The ideal candidate will have experience in running high-value transactions, negotiating key documents, and providing strategic legal advice to banks, borrowers, and private equity clients.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Acting for banks, borrowers, and private equity firms on a range of mid-market and investment-grade banking matters.
✅ Drafting and negotiating loan facility agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and ancillary documentation.
✅ Advising on leveraged acquisition finance transactions and corporate lending transactions.
✅ Drafting and advising on asset-backed/receivables finance transactions.
✅ Negotiating and advising on project finance documentation.
✅ Managing cross-border transactions, coordinating overseas legal counsel, and negotiating legal opinions.
✅ Advising on ISDA agreements, hedging strategies, and credit support documentation.
✅ Collaborating with corporate, real estate, pensions, and construction teams on banking matters.
✅ Playing a key role in business development, maintaining client relationships, and supporting junior team members.

Required Skills & Experience:

✔ 5-8 years PQE in banking and finance law.
✔ Experience in running high-value finance transactions independently with minimal partner supervision.
✔ Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking in finance transactions.
✔ Excellent negotiation and drafting skills in loan documentation.
✔ Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
✔ Self-motivated and proactive, with exceptional attention to detail.
