In this role you will:
 

  • Contribute to develop climate modelling and analytical tools and capabilities. These will be used to provide quantitative, data driven insights for management decisions in support of HSBC’s net zero ambition.
  • Lead projects to analyse climate, portfolio and counterparty related data to provide decision useful insights, including forward-looking analysis, to support business management and strategy.
  • Utilise statistical tools, methodologies and approaches to develop proprietary analytics solutions. Support the design and deployment of applications and dashboards to deliver impactful insights and critical MI.
  • Support engagement with senior executives across global businesses and functions related to executing the Group’s net zero strategy; provide regular updates to executive committees.
  • Contribute to developing a strategy on key evolving areas critical to HSBC’s leadership on financing the net zero transition and wider sustainability outcomes collaborating across HSBC business groups and functions.
     

Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
 

  • Understanding of financed emission methodology.
  • Strong experience with climate data modelling.
  • Experience of supporting the communication of net zero strategy and through annual disclosures (e.g. Annual Report & Accounts).
  • Good experience with building data and analytics infrastructure for decision making purposes.
