Prinova Europe Ltd., a leading global supplier in the food, beverage, and nutrition industries, is hiring an Assistant Quality Manager – Operations for their Aylesford, Kent site. This full-time, permanent role will see you play a pivotal part in leading quality assurance operations, ensuring strict compliance with global food safety and regulatory standards. You'll implement and uphold both corporate and site policies, while managing certification processes, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives in quality performance. The role also includes extensive interaction with various departments, including Sales, Manufacturing, and R&D.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure business certification requirements are maintained across the company.
Lead and manage customer and third-party audits (FSSC, NSF-GMP, RSPO, etc.).
Act as the main quality and food safety partner for cross-functional teams.
Enhance organizational risk management and cost-efficiency through quality strategies.
Collaborate with manufacturing partners to ensure regulatory compliance and improvements.
Prepare and analyze documentation related to failed processes, corrective actions, mock recalls, and product evaluations.
Provide ongoing training and coaching in quality and food safety to company employees.
Contribute to product development by offering quality leadership and process insights.
Oversee root cause analysis, CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions), and risk-based thinking.
Lead HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP efforts and manage crisis or food safety incidents.
Monitor plant hygiene, pest control, and GMP implementation through internal audits.
Facilitate the resolution of non-conformances, allergen controls, reworks, and complaints.
Candidate Profile:
Degree in Chemical or Food Science preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in quality roles within the food/ingredient/supplement manufacturing sector.
Previous laboratory experience is a plus.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Capable of working under pressure and handling multiple priorities.
Familiarity with ERP and LIMS systems preferred.
Proficiency in business-level English is essential.
