Warwick Business School (WBS), part of the University of Warwick, is inviting applications for the role of Assistant Professor in Finance. The successful candidate will contribute to the research streams within WBS's Finance Group, with a particular emphasis on FinTech. This role is ideal for an internationally oriented and ambitious scholar who will pursue independent research and contribute to top finance journals, as well as develop and deliver exceptional teaching at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

The department is especially interested in applicants who have a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research in finance, especially related to FinTech, and who can engage effectively with the WBS community.

You will:

  • Undertake independent research in finance, aiming to publish in top-tier finance and economics journals.
  • Develop and teach courses in finance at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Collaborate with faculty members and contribute to the development of the Finance Group’s research agenda.
  • Engage with the wider academic community and contribute to WBS’s mission of being a leading research-based business school.

About You:

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a completed or near-completed PhD in finance or a related discipline.
  • Have a track record of high-quality research in finance, with a focus on areas like FinTech.
  • Be capable of independent research and have the potential to publish in top economics and finance journals.
  • Have excellent teaching skills and the ability to deliver high-quality instruction at various academic levels.
