We are looking for an Assistant Group Accountant to join our established Group finance team, reporting to the Group Financial Accountant. In this role, you will be supporting with the preparation of our monthly consolidated financial statements, with responsibility for certain elements and supporting schedules. You will also be responsible for the accounting and reporting for our Group treasury company.
Your role
- As part of our Group Financial Reporting team, you will be supporting with the preparation of our consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules and controls.
- In particular, you will lead on our accounting for leases across the Group, in accordance with IFRS 16, providing guidance and support to our subsidiaries on our system and the accounting standard, and produce the reports used for the consolidation.
- You will also be responsible for reporting on our revenue and trade receivables, working with our subsidiaries to understand their customers and provisions, and calculating expected credit loss provisions in accordance with IFRS 9.
- You will use your understanding of the consolidation and consolidation processes to prepare and reconcile product-line profitability statements using an activity-based costing method, contributing to data integrity of our management information systems, and supporting the development of our gross margin reporting.
- In addition, you’ll be responsible for the accounting and reporting of our Group treasury company, provide financial support to our corporate services division, complete Office of National Statistics reporting, and participate in other ad-hoc Group finance projects.
