Assistant Controller

Description:

A $200M and growing construction organization is seeking an experienced accountant with experience in the construction industry. The role will support both construction and corporate accounting. There is career trajectory towards CFO. The role is onsite five days a week, but they offer 24 days a year to work remote.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with preparation of the individual company and consolidating companies’ financial statements.
• Assist in the budget & reforecast process.
• Track expenses and revenues vs. budget and reforecast and analyze fluctuations.
• Maintain budget and reforecast information in our financial reporting system.
• Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies.
• Develop, maintain and distribute ad-hoc reports and financial models as needed.
• Analyze various intercompany allocations.
• Prepare annual workpapers to be provided to external auditors.
• Review projects and service orders recap reports and determine issues for further analysis/correction.

Qualifications:

• CPA and/or Master's degree required
• Construction industry experience
• 5+ years accounting experience
