Description:
Venn Group Finance is recruiting for an Assistant Accountant for a highly reputable automotive sector organisation based in the Midlands. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with previous experience in accounting and a strong understanding of finance processes. The role offers flexibility with remote working and occasional travel to the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Ledger: Process supplier invoices and credit notes, reconcile statements, resolve discrepancies, and assist with payments.
- Credit Control: Monitor customer accounts, chase overdue payments, resolve queries, and prepare aged debtor reports.
- Cash Posting: Accurately post and allocate cash receipts, reconcile daily cash and bank transactions.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform reconciliations of bank accounts, resolving any discrepancies.
- Journals: Prepare and post journals for accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
- Ad hoc Financial Support: Assist the finance team with tasks, projects, financial reports, and analysis as required.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar finance role.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to the West Midlands.
