Description:
Tembé DIY & Building Products, a leading supplier of building and DIY products, is looking for two driven Area Sales Managers to manage key regions in South Birmingham & Evesham and South London & Surrey. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing key customer accounts, driving business development, and promoting Tembé's market-leading brands, Hippo and Filltite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive business development and expand the company’s presence in the assigned territories
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, ensuring long-term partnerships
- Open and manage new customer accounts to foster growth
- Attend customer meetings, presenting the value of Tembé products and services
- Solve client issues and apply creative solutions to meet their needs
- Participate in review meetings and follow up on action points
- Promote new products and services to clients
- Organize and attend customer events to build relationships
- Collaborate with depot managers to assist in customer visits
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven sales experience within the building and construction industry (preferable)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and nurture long-term relationships with clients
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to meeting sales targets
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of builder merchant operations, product range, and customer base
- In-depth understanding of DIY building products, tools, and materials is advantageous
