We are an award-winning global practice for sustainable Architecture and Design, founded in 1883 and with seven studios across the UK. Renowned for our quality design and technical delivery, we have long-standing relationships with some of the biggest global brands. We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team and contribute to our exciting projects.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects and designers to develop and implement design concepts for various projects
- Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and technical documents using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit)
- Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for project development
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and zoning laws throughout the design process
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other professionals involved in project execution
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior staff members as needed
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to continually enhance design processes and outcomes
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Architectural Technologist in a professional setting
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software. We will be asking for you to complete a quick Revit assessment
- Strong understanding of building materials, construction techniques, and building systems. Show evidence of shell construction and internal fit out detailing; fire strategy plans, wall/partition setting out plans, and coordinated reflected ceiling plan setting out would also be useful to show
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and precision
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and practices is a plus
- Professional certification or licensure (e.g., Certified Architectural Technologist) is preferred but not required
