Architectural Technician

Description:

A highly regarded architects practice in the heart of Birmingham is looking for an experienced Architectural Technician to join their team. The role involves preparing fully coordinated working drawings and specifications, and the successful candidate will work alongside other consultants and report directly to the Associate and Directors.

This position requires strong technical knowledge, proficiency in Revit, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The candidate will need to work autonomously on site and be confident in managing site tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare fully coordinated working drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with the design team and report to Associate and Directors.
• Work autonomously and manage site tasks with confidence.
• Contribute to all stages of the project lifecycle, particularly post-contract (RIBA stages).
• Coordinate with consultants and other team members to ensure smooth project execution.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Needed:

• Proficiency in Revit and a sound technical understanding.
• Experience working in the architectural design team and preparing working drawings.
• Prior experience on-site, with the ability to manage tasks and report confidently.
• Knowledge of RIBA stages post-contract.
