Description:
Entry level position; monitor the production process system to ensure proper operation. Inspect, check and document process production activities. Perform container preparation, bulk and non-bulk filling, shipping and receiving activities and other production and facility capacities as assigned. Ensure safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency and timeliness when performing the assigned work.
MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)
- Monitors the production process system to ensure proper operation.
- Inspects, checks and documents process production activities.
- Ensures safety, quality of workmanship, efficiency and timeliness when performing the assigned work.
- Uses and maintains equipment in good working order and reports any abnormalities in a timely fashion.
- Maintains working areas organized and clean to ensure work efficiency and safety.
- Follows materials handling practices appropriate with safety standards, while maintaining minimum wastage.
- Reports security and/or health and safety infractions or potential infractions in a timely manner and to the appropriate contacts.
- Participate in inventory cycle count programs and accurate record results.
- May participate in shipping and receiving activities as necessary.
- May be responsible for snow shoveling/removal.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience And Certifications)
- High School completion or equivalent (GED)
- Prior experience as a chemical operator/technician preferred
