Application And Systems Team Manager

Description:

The successful candidate will have experience in supporting and configuring IT systems. They will be able to set objectives for and lead a small team of skilled application specialist.

We don’t necessarily expect you to be an expert in all these systems from the outset, but you must be able to demonstrate that you have the skills to problem solve, manage stakeholder relationships, and learn how to become an expert in this field.

The post will involve:

• Working closely with the Service Manager for Applications, Systems, and Data, as well as the Head of Streetscene, to ensure Clean Air systems work efficiently and effectively
• Providing leadership and management of staff within the Neighbourhoods Applications, Systems, and Data Team.
• Ensure that the services provided are in accordance with legislative requirements and council/directorate priorities and policies.
• Ensure that the applications and systems are developed and maintained to support performance information so that management can monitor, deliver, and improve services to service users and achieve best value
• Ensure that the Directorate applications and systems are maintained and developed in accordance with local and national information requirements
