My client is a significant player in the US living market and has recently announced their expansion into the European market targeting PBSA in the UK and Ireland

 

As a result, they are now looking to expand their investment team and have outlined a number of key additions to the business.

 

This role is an opportunity for you to join an exciting, dynamic start-up business with a large, well-capitalised parent. You will be working within a high-performing team and will play a leading role in helping them forge a new business in the UK and, potentially, beyond this.

 

The role itself:

 

The responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following functions:

 

  • Playing a leading role in supporting the ‘engine room’ in appraising new deals, putting memos and decks together and improving capacity across the team.
  • Assessing potential development opportunities across the UK.
  • Building financial models and cost models to monitor existing projects and assessing new development opportunities.
  • Initial screening of investment opportunities and performing due diligence on approved transactions.
  • Assist with information dissemination and analysis for acquisitions, financings, recapitalisations, and dispositions
  • Assist with preparation of cash flow analyses and investment return projections.
  • Assist with the sourcing and closing of debt

 

 

What do you need to bring to the table?

 

  • 3 - 5 years of Commercial Real Estate experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Undergraduate degree is required, preferably with a focus in Business, Real Estate, Finance, or other relevant subject matter.
  • Prior residential (specifically PBSA) investment/deal experience is desirable, not essential.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Strong preference for knowledge/understanding of JV structuring, debt capital markets, waterfall analysis.
  • Advanced understanding of underwriting and investment concepts and the ability to apply concepts.
  • Advanced financial and analytical skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
