In this role you will:
- Conduct operational due diligence meetings of external investment managers as part of the investment process. These meetings discuss all areas of operations to assess the strength of the organization and its ability to mitigate operational risk.
- Document due diligence meetings conducted in the specified report template and present findings to the various committees and stakeholders.
- Perform regulatory research and reviews of managers and analyse underlying manager financial statements.
- Research foreign markets to assess regulatory and tax issues involving trading/establishing a local presence in those markets.
- Assist team members on special projects.
Requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- A Chartered Accountant qualification or Chartered Financial Analyst qualification is essential for this role
- Experience of auditing or performing due diligence on an alternative investment manager or fund.
- Working knowledge of industry standards of hedge funds and private market funds is a requirement for this role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly numerate and organised with good attention to detail.
- Confident with stakeholder engagement at all levels.
