Description:

Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (BOVTS) is looking for a part-time Admissions Administrator to support the smooth and efficient enrolment of students onto its full-time postgraduate programmes as well as its part-time short courses, which include adult and youth offerings.

In this important role, you will assist with processing applications, arranging interviews and auditions, and ensuring effective and ongoing communication with applicants throughout the admissions journey. Additionally, you will coordinate all administrative processes related to the School’s non-degree courses, including liaising with course leaders, booking rooms, producing timetables, and acting as the primary point of contact for accommodation enquiries.

The ideal candidate will bring excellent administrative abilities, a high attention to detail, and strong proficiency with Google Suite and Outlook. You will play a key role in ensuring applicants receive clear information and guidance, while supporting the Marketing & Admissions team in delivering exceptional educational experiences at BOVTS.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with processing applications for full-time postgraduate programmes and part-time short courses.
  • Arrange interviews and auditions for prospective students.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with applicants from initial enquiry through to enrolment.
  • Coordinate all administrative aspects of short courses, including working with course leaders, managing room bookings, and preparing timetables.
  • Act as the first point of contact for accommodation enquiries related to School courses.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient administrative processes across all admissions activities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong administrative skills with proven experience in a similar role, ideally within education or admissions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Outlook.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated with a calm and logical approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage confidently with applicants, staff, and external contacts.

Contract Type:

Salary:
£1125 per month (equivalent to £13500 per annum, pro-rata from £27000 full-time)
