Accounts Assistant (maternity Cover)

 

Description:

We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to cover maternity leave until the end of March 2026. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all accounting procedures are adhered to while assisting the Financial Controller.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collating daily revenue and financial journals and investigating any variances.
  • Responding to accounts queries and supporting other departments within the hotel.
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices on Sage.
  • Maintaining Sage, checking supplier statements, raising monthly BACS run.
  • Maintaining and reconciling creditor accounts.
  • Compiling and adhering to all company cash, card, and key handling procedures.
  • Adhering to all security procedures required to meet company and hotel requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Sage Line 50
  • Basic accounts and credit control experience
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail skills
  • Strong numeracy and administrative skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Previous experience in a hotel environment
  • Knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS

Working Hours:

  • 24 hours per week (4 days a week)
