Accounts Assistant

 

Description:

We are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team based in our Head office in Reigate.

 

As an Accounts Assistant you will support the efficient running of the finance function, ensuring smooth and timely communication with internal teams and suppliers. This is a great opportunity to join a growing business and work within a large finance team.

 

You will need to be in the Reigate office 3 – 4 days per week during onboarding and then this could transition to 2 – 3 days per week.

 

Responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant will include:

 

  • Supplier Ledger - Authorisation and posting of purchase invoices monthly
  • Reconciliation with supplier statements
  • Monthly payment runs (supported by remittance slips)
  • Filing of purchase invoices
  • Timely response to all enquiries
  • Processing general journals
  • Managing the supplier ledger
  • Liaising with suppliers and the central parts/claims teams
  • Responsible for all Expensify & Company credit card analysis & payments
  • Support with processing daily banking & AR

 

Skills and experience required as an Accounts Assistant:

 

  • Experience in a similar Accounts / Finance Assistant role
  • Ability to handle large data sets with good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good IT skills and experience using accounting software (Netsuite experience an advantage)
  • Strong organisation with a proven ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload and to meet deadlines
  • Good communication skills and used to working with internal teams and communicating with suppliers
  • Resilient and adaptable to change and process improvement
  • Be flexible and have a can-do attitude
