Job Overview
The Accountant will play a key role in the Finance Team, which manages various financial operations including treasury, accounting, financial reporting, investment strategy, and budgeting for the CV group. The role involves working closely with the Corporate Services Manager to support financial stewardship, reporting, and compliance.
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with experience in accounting systems and finance procedures. Leadership, management experience, and strong interpersonal skills are desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage financial tasks including budgeting, reporting, and investment strategy.
- Oversee operational finance, internal and external financial reporting, and financial control.
- Assist in finance projects including ERP system implementation.
- Work across multiple finance areas, rotating responsibilities for broader experience.
- Provide cover for team members during absences.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Participate in prayer and devotional leadership as part of the organization’s Christian values.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW) with broad accounting experience.
- Experience in budget control, financial reporting, and strategic planning.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks autonomously.
- Fluent in English (Additional European languages are a plus).
- Authorised to work in the UK and able to work full-time from Solihull headquarters.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience in the charity sector or mission-based organisations.
- Experience with NetSuite cloud-based ERP.
- Project management and system implementation experience.
- Willingness to travel internationally if required.
