Due to our company's sustained growth, we are currently presenting an exciting employment opportunity for an Accountant to join our team based in Sliema. This role is pivotal within Push Gaming, involving active participation in the Finance team's efforts to effectively manage and oversee the accounting functions of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and transaction postings.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, monitoring actual performance against budgeted figures, and providing insights for decision-making.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, prepare tax returns, and stay updated on tax law changes. Identify tax-saving opportunities and deductions.
- Financial Analysis: Analyse financial data to provide meaningful insights into the company's financial performance. Identify areas for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting auditors in their review.
- Vendor and Expense Management: Manage accounts payable, monitor/process vendor invoices, and ensure timely payments. Review and reconcile expenses.
- Customer and Revenue Management: Manage accounts receivable, monitor/process customer invoices, and ensure timely debt collection. Review and reconcile transactions.
- Financial Controls: Implement and maintain financial controls to safeguard company assets and maintain data integrity.
- Compliance and Regulatory Reporting: Ensure that the organisation complies with relevant industry compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Other: Other ongoing ad-hoc projects and tasks as they arise
Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA) is preferred.
- 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax regulations.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
