As a hands-on and successful Account Manager you are aware of the developments in the solar market and the needs of our partners (installers and distributors). You can build a good relationship with our customers and prospects and want to invest in long term partnerships. You are keen to open the UK market even more by facilitating customers in their needs. You are constantly building on expanding your network and actively focus on mapping the market and actively promote Esdec products and services to our customers to achieve the goals that we have set for ourselves in the UK.

How does this look like in practice? On Monday you start your working week by updating “the opportunities”. Which opportunities do you want to discuss during the commercial meetings with colleagues from the Sales Team UK and what actions will follow from this. Together with your colleagues, you determine the focus for the next week. The rest of the week you are mainly on the road visiting customers and prospects. After these visits you record the agreements, you work out the information obtained, and you plan the follow-up in our system (MS Dynamics CE). It is a challenging position for 40 hours a week (fulltime) and you will be working from your home office.

Tasks And Responsibilities
 

  • You are responsible for proactively visiting and contacting customers and prospects;
  • You can build a strong and meaningful relationship with our customers;
  • You are the main point of contact for all customer matters, and you will anticipate our customer needs;
  • You are ensuring that deadlines are met for your customer, and you will help them to be successful;
  • You continuously update customers on product changes and modifications, services, and pricing;
  • You assure the company’s best-in-class service level and shortest response time through an efficient communication between the customer and the company.
  • You know how to connect customers to us permanently and exclusively;
  • You know how to convert prospects into sustainable customers;
  • You are able tot set up a strong network where Esdec is “on top of mind”.

     

As an Account Manager UK, you will be a part of our UK team which consists of a Country Manager and a Sales Manager. Because of the growing market we are looking for an Account Manager.

The UK team is part of the Esdec Sales Team Europe, which is an enthusiastic and energetic team who work closely together, even if a lot of your colleagues are based in different countries. Approximately every 3 months you will be joining a meeting in Deventer to stay connected to your colleagues in the Netherlands. This is the time where you’ll catch up with colleagues and you’ll receive a lot of updates from various departments as well as product trainings. You will report to the UK Country Manager.

Job Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor level (Commercial/Economics) is required;
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position;
  • You have a proven track record of commercial results;
  • You can build business cases and set up sales plans;
  • You speak and write English at a native level, and you are an easy and effective communicator;
  • You have experience in an international logistics and/or production environment, experience in the solar industry is a plus;
  • You have a strong customer focus;
  • Intensive travelling is required, and you have a driver’s license.
