The role of Senior Business/Account Development Manager is pivotal in driving new business sales, fostering strong relationships with clients in the CPG and retailer sectors, and executing strategic plans to ensure commercial growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Delivery:
- Achieve budgeted new sales revenues and gross margin targets.
- Develop and extend strong relationships with key UK CPG and retailer clients.
- Deliver impactful sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate and close sales with clients.
- Identify client opportunities and issues, offering solutions.
Sales Operations:
- Prepare, monitor, and report on sales action plans.
- Negotiate and prepare sales contracts, seeing them through to completion.
- Support the use of CRM systems and sales processes to ensure operational efficiency and informed decision-making.
Market Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date with market conditions, competition, and industry trends, particularly in FMCG.
Teamwork:
- Collaborate with the Campaign Delivery team to ensure high-quality service delivery and meet client expectations.
- Foster a positive team environment and collaborate across the group for business and process improvements.
- Partner with marketing and lead generation teams to drive successful demand generation, trade marketing, and partner programs.
- Leverage international client relationships for best practices and internal knowledge sharing.
Relevant Experience:
- 5-10 years of sales experience, with a minimum of 2 years working in a digital environment.
- Experience in the CPG and grocery retail industry.
- Proven track record of consistently delivering on revenue targets.
- Extensive knowledge of the sales cycle, deal structuring, and negotiating terms.
- Ability to understand clients' objectives and create tailored solutions.
- Experience leading and managing sales staff.
- Additional experience in retail media networks, personalized marketing, consumer analytics, and data commercialization is an advantage.
