Account & Business Development Manager

We are now seeking an Account and Business Development Manager (Customer Brands) to help us in further building the future of food. You will report to the Regional Sales Manager and be part of a great team of people based in our locations across Europe.

This is a remote role which will require travel as required by the business to customers, supplier and Paulig production facilities. You will also need to attend a monthly sales meeting in Roeselare, Belgium once a month.

In this role you will have the opportunity to effectively manage and grow relationships with customers to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth in line with Paulig strategy. You will be responsible for identifying needs of customers and developing and executing requirements to deliver against volume and revenue targets whilst also developing new business both in existing and new categories.

What You Will Do
 

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies in line with overall Paulig Strategy and customer segmentation
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics from a variety of data sources, share findings and make appropriate recommendations
  • Create and deliver selling stories integrating insights from market data, shopper and consumer research findings
  • Prepare & own sales forecasts
  • Proactively influence internal priorities and processes using a fact-based approach
  • Develop & maintain a strong network of relationships internally and externally to respond to customer needs.
  • Identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Stay up-to-date with in-store and online fixtures, pricing movements and new product launches in the market
  • Gain a full understanding of Paulig products & capabilities using this knowledge to effectively explore opportunities with relevant customers
  • Attend customer and industry events and conferences to network and stay up-to-date with industry trends
  • Prepare and present visit reports on key account performance
     

What We Expect From You

You would be a great fit if your background and experience would look similar to this
 

  • University degree or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years experience of retail private label FMCG
  • Sales/other commercial experience
  • IT skills (MS Office, Excel, BI)
  • Growth mindset and good knowledge of UK grocery retail market
  • Solid customer service attitude
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – able to distil data and information into actionable insights and recommendations
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed
